Welcome to Week 65. Do I have to tell you what we’re counting, any more?
This week already has a weird feel to it, doesn’t it? I can’t say it’s exactly hopeful. But the news sure does look bad for Team Trump. And we’re OK with that!
Let’s get caught up, and resolve once again not to try to predict this insane roller coaster we’re forced to ride together.
Listen right here at 9:00 AM ET!
PODCAST LISTENERS: There’s a new podcast platform in town, and the big news is: this one pays! RadioPublic pays podcast producers on a CPM basis, for listens on their native app (available for iPhones & Androids), financed by pre- and post-roll ads they insert. Not a bad way to support the show, with somebody else’s money!
So if you’re a podcast listener, please consider downloading the RadioPublic app on your Android or iOS phone. Yes, you can still download directly from their site, or listen to the player embedded here at Daily Kos. But it’s listens in their app that count toward payment.
Nothing changes on our end. It’s still Greg Dworkin, Joan McCarter, and even Armando. Plus also, me. And you! As always, we still want your voice on the air with us. Sit down with your smart phone or other electronic recording device and send us your stories and commentary to share with the audience. There’s no easier way to try your hand at podcasting, without all the hassle!
Of course there’s no substitute for having your support via Patreon, or one-time contributions via Square Cash. (And hey, if you want a cool trick for donating sorta-kinda cost free, get their cash.me app and use this share code to get $5 in your account (plus $5 in mine) when you send your first $5 (to anyone)!
For now, how about one on the house? Here’s what we did last time out, on our LIVE show:
Such a nice weekend for golf! Get away from it all, now, when you feel you might boil over, melt down, or just explode. Wait! Before you go, let David Waldman present to you a Friday KITM with enough news and insight to get you smoothly through the weekend, hopefully. Scooter Libby, guilty of obstruction of justice and lying to the FBI, has touched Donald Trump’s heart. Remember Watergate? It was the tapes. Michael Cohen made some tapes, and the FBI may have them. Speaking of tapes, Donald Trump begged James Comey to tell Melania he couldn’t find the Pee Tape. And, speaking of a smoking gun, a Patriot describes his elation upon the sight of a liberated independent woman with a good bulge in her pants. David Hogg inspires a man to imagine hot poker rape, and another to pin up his pictures and shoot all over them, with his gun. Broward County, the site of the Parkland school shooting, has voted to refuse money to arm school personnel. Marjory Stoneman Douglas teacher Sean Simpson’s heart was in the right place, his gun not as much. Everyone respected the gun culture of David Jungerman, at least for the first 4 people he shot, but then he just bragged too much about #5. Robert Mercer, the money behind Breitbart News, Steve Bannon, Cambridge Analytica, and Donald Trump, still had hundreds of millions left over and thought why not collect urine and play Deputy Fife with a belt-fed grenade launcher? While he was at it, Mercer established a “badge factory” that authorized badge holders to carry concealed weapons in all 50 U.S. states, but not to shoot unarmed people, that would get you 4 years. Did Facebook and Google become dangerous because we wouldn’t pay them? Should we ban targeted advertising and demand they take our money?
