Drake’s Next Career Move May Be in Sports Reporting

Last month, Aubrey “Drake” Graham shocked the world when he announced that he is planning to take a break from music in order to take over Hollywood. During a featured interview with The Hollywood Reporter, he revealed that he is partnering with Apple Inc., Netflix, and major film studios to star in and produce his own video content. Now, it appears the 31-year-old rap star is exploring another career lane outside of music: sports reporting.

After watching the Raptors defeat the Charlotte Hornets game in Toronto last Wednesday, the Canadian artist stepped onto the court to interview players from his favorite NBA team. However, while speaking with Kyle Lowry, the musician made the rookie mistake of holding the mic toward himself while Lowry was answering a question. “So Kyle, you had 36, five, and six tonight. I just want to know, what prompts a performance like that? Season-high?” asked the “Hotline Bling” rapper. “I watch a lot of Instagram. And I seen you singing last night, so, that kind of helped me out a little bit. I didn’t know you could sing still,” teased Lowry in response. “Ah, thank you. Very nice of you,” Drake snarked.

The actor-turned-rapper also provided commentary during the game, poking fun at Jeremy Lamb’s leg tattoo.

“I feel like Jeremy Lamb has the answers to the third quarter woes tattooed on his right leg. It’s cryptic. It’s cryptic,” Drake said. “It’s drawing me in, boys. I don’t know. Something about it. What is that? What do you ask for when you get that? Give me the Da Vinci Code.”

The Raptors have struggled in third quarters so far this season. Devlin asked Drake what the answer was to their struggles. Apparently, according to Drake, the answer is mapped out on Jeremy Lamb’s leg tattoo.
