Jordan Peele has only continued to make major moves in Hollywood following the massive success of his blockbuster hit Get Out.
Now just mere months after signing an overall television development deal, the celebrated director/producer already has his first major project lined up, and it’s sure to ruffle the feathers of the alt-right community.
Peele is determined to continue his winning streak by shaking the table with a drama titled The Hunt, which he is set to executive produce.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the project is “a 1970s-set Nazi hunter drama from Sonar Entertainment” and has not yet been bought by a network. It is, however, already drawing major interest from “several potential bidders.”
The Hunt, inspired by true events, is set to follow the story of “a diverse band of Nazi hunters in 1970s America as they set out on a quest for revenge and justice,” the site reports. The polarizing part is introduced when the hunters’ mission comes into play: they track and murder hundreds of Nazis who, in collaboration with the United States government, manage not to get caught and redistribute themselves into American society.
Peele’s Monkeypaw Productions, along with Sonar Entertainment, is set to produce the still-in-production series. David Weil is reportedly on board to write the script and executive produce the series beside Peele.
